I have always loved looking at well-designed logos and I like it even more when they feature great typography (hey, after all typography is sexy!) So, lately I’ve been looking for some inspiration for a new project and thought I’d check out some logo galleries to get those creative juices flowing.

You may already know that I read a lot and of course being a designer and a blogger there’s many design blogs that I follow and read on a regular basis, but there’s also a lot of books about design, usability, typography, CSS, freelancing and a boat load of other related topics out there. All these books can help make you a better designer and business owner so I thought I’d make a list of some of my favorite ones and include a short summary/quote, book authors and the topics discussed in the books.

Regardless if you have an iPhone or not you have to admit that the Mac/iPhone style of design is super sleek and very pleasing on the eyes. A specific type of design trend I’ve seen a lot lately are the iPhone app websites. They generally all follow the same plan of attack (for good reason) but it makes me wonder – are these sites being built to just blend in with the rest of the pack or are there some that stand out?
