We use punctuation everyday when writing articles, blog posts and emails. We’re all aware that using the wrong punctuation can completely change the meaning of a sentence or even a whole document. So, where else do people use punctuation? In logo design of course!

The 34 logos showcased in the post use punctuation as a design element. Some logos feature commas, colons and semicolons while others use exclamation marks, question marks, brackets and parentheses. 21 Awesome @font-face Embedable Typefaces

The 2 most popular typefaces used on the web today are surely Verdana and Georgia. They’re great and I used them all the time since they’re web-safe fonts. I use them mostly because I’m not a big fan of flash replacement techniques or solutions that require Javascript (sIFR, Cufon, etc…). But what about the @font-face CSS property?

While @font-face may not work in all browsers, I think it’s still one of the best solution available today. Of course not all type foundries will let us embed their fonts on our webpages. There are solutions like Typekit which look very promising but today we’ll simply go over the @font-face CSS property and check out some typefaces you can use with @font-face :)

Channels are just one incredibly powerful tool in Photoshop’s vast arsenal of image editing capabilities. They have a number of different uses, and are frequently my tool of choice for creating masks and selections, or to make slight colour adjustments to an image.

Today, we are going to learn how to create an interesting photo treatment using channels and colour spaces. We will move from RGB to CMYK to Multichannel and finally back to RGB again.
