		<description>One point, often violated, is related to targeting an audience.  And that is to make a list of all the technical terms and their usages you rely on, and decide up front which of these you expect the reader to already know.  As for those terms you cannot assume the reader already understands in the sense you use them, do not use these terms until after you have given the reader an understanding of them.  Do not use terms whose meaning will not become clear until later in the discussion.

A member of the targeted audience who has a good memory should be able to read from beginning to end without ever thinking, &quot;I wonder what this means.&quot;</description>
