It’s also worth remembering that not everyone’s going to be using an iPhone to view your site. Again, this would depend on your research into the sites intended audience.

Yes, I definitely agree with you. The time will come when mobile websites will be the “standard” and everyone will have one. This is mostly due to the quickly rising use of the super high-speed surfing speeds of data-powered mobile devices (i.e. 3G, 4G networks). There are a lot of people that rather surf on their iPhones than their laptops or netbooks when they’re on the go.
