Is there anyone in the design community who truly abhors freebies? Perhaps the Grinch and Scrooge McDuck but I’m not sure their opinions count. Also they’re cartoons. But generally speaking freebies are excellent for crafting swift mockups or learning how to design your own graphics from scratch. Professional designers can make a name for themselves by releasing freebies which bring attention to their work.
For this post I’ve organized a handful of freshly-baked free iconsets straight out of the oven. Each link includes a direct download for the freebie in either Illustrator or Photoshop format. Everything should be directly relatable to interface design from flat to realistic styles, and everything inbetween.
