Yogi Bear blearily emerges from his winter’s nap, rabbits start eyeing each other suggestively, and your local 7-11 puts a heaping pile of Cadbury Creme eggs near the register: Spring is in the air! Easter will soon be upon us! This makes it a great time of year to celebrate the season by incorporating Spring design elements into your websites and other collateral.
Spring is the closest time we have to magic in the dismal North, when the natural world shakes off its hoary slumber, rubs its eyes in disbelief, and marvels at the sudden appearance of leaves of tress and temperatures above freezing. It’s that divine time of the year when, in a fit of excitement over the gradually rising mercury that overawes your good sense, you forgo a jacket on an apparently balmy 35-degree morning, only to discover just how little of your brain you applied to the problem when it pours rain for your entire walk home.
Even in sunny California, we notice. The crazy people that dress for winter when it’s below 60 degrees start to pack away their frankly absurd parkas. The days get longer, the palm tree shadows a little less severe on the interminable drive home from work.
The springtime is also an excellent excuse for visual redesign, providing a great platform for an aesthetic resurrection of your websites. Take advantage of the chance to spruce up your sites for spring with these design elements for spring and Easter designs.
As always, we’ve tried to pull from a variety of sources when choosing our design elements. Free elements are mixed in among the paid ones, as regular readers will no doubt expect. Good design elements cost money. If the project matters, don’t expect to get your foundational design components for free.
