Of all of the design trends that have appeared over the last few years, the one that’s been impossible to miss has been the rise in flat design. Flat designs have become remarkably popular ever since Microsoft unveiled their Metro UI for Windows 8, and the design has been influencing user interfaces, web sites, logos and more ever since.
Even though the design trend has been around for a while, there’s still something remarkably refreshing about it. Personally, I think it’s because flat design doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t – it removes unnecessary textures and impossible levels of depth and as such is simpler and cleaner. The bolder, more vibrant colour palettes are the icing on the cake.
I’ve brought together a collection of some of my favourite flat logo designs to help give you some inspiration for your next design project. Each of these logos removes unnecessary gradients, textures and drop shadows to create a much sleeker, flatter and cleaner design. If there are any other flat logos that you’d like to suggest, I’d love to hear about them in the comments at the end.
Have you come across any flat logo designs that you’re particularly fond of? Or have you created one yourself that you’d like to share? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
