Useful Web Tools to Understand the World of Bitcoin

June 26, 2020 by Spyre Studios

Have you ever heard of the hash function, elliptic curve cryptography, P2P? Many people think that these terms are difficult to understand unless you are an engineer. However, there are now readily available web tools that actually help in understanding Bitcoin and its technology. The point is that these are mostly happening in real-time. Even if you don’t have any technical knowledge, you can intuitively understand how a public network works. You may use bitqt official site as your starting reference.

If you are a web or app developer, these tools will surely come handy:

1. Fiat Leak

This site visualizes in real-time. Although it depends on the time of day, it can be seen that most of them occur in China in proportion to the trading volume. It helps the freelance web designers to do Bitcoin exchange.

2. Blockchain.info / Blockscan

Blockchain.info is a well-established Bitcoin data statistics site. From real-time transactions, the number of transactions and blockchain wallet user trends are available. Blockscan is a site very similar to Blockchain.info, but a block explorer dedicated to counterparty assets. Freelance web designers can get a bird’s eye view of various custom assets being traded.

3.Trade Block

TradeBlock also delivers market data, but what is worth mentioning is its real-time nature. The size of each transaction, the transaction per second, the amount of waiting transactions are all features of this site. This tool will enable designers to show the detailed bitcoin transactions of their users.

4. Bitcoinity

Bitcoinity is a site that aggregates market data and blockchain data around the world. With this tool, designers are able to access the distribution of hash rates, the transition of block versions, and have access to the list of clients who have mined the blocks.

5. BitNodes

This is a visualization tool that plots Bitcoin nodes on a map. You can see the total number of nodes, the number of nodes for each region, and the way Live Map propagates between nodes in real-time.

6. Bitcoin Ticker / Daily Blockchain

This is another visualization tool for real-time transactions. With this tool, freelance web designers are able to show roughly the area where the transaction occurred, while Daily Blockchain shows the input source address and the output destination address. The red element is the destination, green is the source, blue is the transaction itself, and yellow is both the destination and the source.

7. BitListen

An ambitious work that expresses bitcoin transactions with sounds where you can choose from three tones.

8. Block Seer

By specifying an address and selecting a transaction, designer can track which address Bitcoin was sent. If you publish your address and get Bitcoin, you may not know who sent it, but you may know what service that person used. It can also be used to trace suspicious transactions and traces of spam transactions such as stress tests.

In this sample, you can also see Mount Gox’s reserve proof (2011), Silk Road seizure BTC auction transaction, and so on.

9. Coin ATM Radar

It is a map tool that allows you to search for countries, regions, and stores where Bitcoin ATMs are installed. This tool is designed by a developer to make the working of bitcoin easy. Nowadays, you can buy Bitcoin without resorting to ATMs, but BitCoiners gather at ATMs. If you want to talk to a Bitcoiner you don’t know, it might be worth a visit. If you run out of bitcoins when traveling abroad, buying at an ATM may be a good option.

10. Coin Map

It is a map tool that allows you to find stores around the world that accept bitcoin payments. Web developers incorporate payment methods and bitcoin using this tool. If you don’t know where Bitcoin can be used, you can use this tool to help you out.
